On Monday, the first ever ShopTalk Europe event kicks off in Copenhagen! Top retailers from not just Europe, the US, and around the world will head to the northern European city for this new version of the original, Vegas based event. Shoptalk Europe promises to be a fertile ground for innovators and disruptors looking to the future of retail and the discussions on customer experience, brick and mortar, ecommerce, mobility, logistics, and more.
With such an excellent line-up of speakers I picked a few that I think will be “must attend”:
Monday Opening Remarks
The team at Shoptalk always puts on a great show and I’m sure that Shoptalk Europe will be no different. As with previous shows, opening remarks always serve as a reminder of what makes these events so different compared to anything else out there. Anil Aggrawal (Founder, Chairman & CEO, Shoptalk) always kick things off in style.
Monday Session 2 - Track 1: Ecommerce Companies Launching Physical Retail Locations
As digitally native vertical brands, ecommerce pureplay, and subscription services look to put some skin in the brick and mortar game, this session featuring Koen Bremer (COO, Ace & Tate) Savannah Sachs (Managing Director, Birchbox UK), Max Wittrock (Co-Founder, mymuesli)
And Baz Saidieh (Advisor, True) is sure to feature some innovative new store concepts, focusing on creating meaningful store experience, and plenty of discussion around how digital data can be leveraged in the physical store.
Tuesday Session 1 – Track 1: Shopping Experiences of the Future
Ulric Jerome (CEO, MATCHESFASHION.COM), Charlie Cole (Chief Digital Officer, TUMI), and Rachel Arthur (Founder & Editor, Fashion & Mash) dig deeper into what shopping experience of the future will look like. Charlie Cole has long championed the use of data across channels to better connect with consumers and drive more meaningful experiences which result in greater value across online and in-store.
Tuesday Presentation - New Retail: The Seamless Shopping Experience
Terry von Bibra (General Manager Europe, Alibaba Group) discusses the concept of “new retail” which has driven exceptional growth in the brand. It’s Hema Supermarket’s represent a true merge of the digital and physical experience in a format that will only likely become more common place in the future.
In addition to these great sessions, the Radius8 team will be at Shoptalk walking the floor and engaging in what always end up being extremely interesting conversations with retailers, investors, and other solution providers. Come by Booth K3 where we’d be happy to help you discover how localized data is the cornerstone to the future of retailing. I look forward to seeing you there!
